About the event

Are you prepared to respond to an overdose emergency?

Last year, 1452 Connecticut residents, including 22 Norwalkers, died from an overdose, according to CT OCME. Local businesses and residents can receive Narcan(™) and learn to respond to a possible overdose emergency at The Norwalk Partnership’s free event on September 14, between 3:30pm and 6pm, at Eco Evolution, 135 Washington Street.

The event is scheduled as a drop-in. People can stop by to learn warning signs and how to administer Naloxone (trademarked as Narcan) to reverse an opioid overdose. Kits will be available (first come, first served) while supplies last, courtesy of a state grant administered by The Hub. Staff from two local nonprofits, Positive Directions and CT Counseling Centers, will be present to answer questions about prevention, treatment and recovery options.  (Limit of 1 Narcan kit per local business.)

Registration is not necessary, but if you RSVP, you will get an email reminder.
